Event One

What we’ll cover

Camera settings: Understanding the key camera settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and how they affect exposure, depth of field, and motion blur, can have a significant impact on the quality of photographs.

  1. Composition: Learning about the rules of composition, such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, and symmetry, can help participants create more visually appealing and balanced images.

  2. Lighting: Understanding how to work with natural and artificial light, including using reflectors, diffusers, and flashes, can have a big impact on the mood and atmosphere of photographs.

  3. Post-processing: Knowing how to edit and enhance images using software such as Lightroom and Photoshop can help participants achieve a more polished and professional look.

  4. Creativity and storytelling: Encouraging participants to experiment with different techniques and styles, and to think about the story or message behind their images, can help them develop a more unique and compelling voice as photographers.

Experience Level: Don’t be afraid. This is a friendly five days to encourage a strong theme and story-based Street Photography style.

You don’t need to be an accomplished photographer; you may simply want a guided tour of the city, but a basic understanding of exposure and your camera would be advantageous. I will be on hand throughout the five days to help with any aspect of photography's technical, theoretical or artistic elements.

Ultimately, the most important thing about this photographic excursion is that it is fun and that you enjoy it
